  1. This is a great post. Saying that there is a science to social media is the same as saying that there is a science to conversation. We get caught up in the analytics so much that we forget those numbers represent people who want to connect with us.

  2. thank you for saying the sensible thing. my theory is that there is great fear out there of missing the social media boat, and in response, a bunch of “experts” have cropped up virtually overnight. for me, to be an expert in SM is like saying you’re an expert at using the phone. it’s just a tool, and the new media doesn’t change the basic dynamics of dealing with people.
