Last night as I called him in the kitchen to sign Valentines Day cards for our niece, nephew, and parents, I saw the look on his face as he surmised that, while buying these cards for family members, I probably also bought him one. He just looked at me and said "yeah...I haven't done that yet..." I could see the calculations running through his head: "...today's Thursday...the...11th. 12th, 13th...Sunday...it's Sunday...when will I possibly get to the store without her?" Then the look went away, he got a smile on his face, raised his arms up, looked up and around the house and proclaimed "HAPPY VALENTINES DAY!" Nice.
